see moreViaero’s Phone Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing cellular phones that have been used in the field by our customers and employees. Each technician must perform evaluation and verification of reported failure mechanism, root cause analysis and general repair. In addition, they also perform cell signal testing, operating system evaluation and general troubleshooting. MOST IMPORTANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform warranty work on cellular phones. • Use electronic test equipment, such as communication analyzers, fluke meters and soldering stations. • Provide technical support in person and via the telephone to customers, sales offices and dealers. • Maintain various parts, tools and equipment, and ensure inventory is on hand. • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers on the telephone and to troubleshoot different situations. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Perform disassembly, evaluation, repair, re-assembly, programming and testing all types of cellular phones. • Perform periodical inventory duties as necessary. • Maintain and organize part cabinets. • Keep abreast of new phones, technologies and troubleshooting techniques through on-line training videos/manuals. • Maintain work stations in a clean organized manner. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • High School diploma or GED is required. • 1-2 years basic electronic or technical repair experience preferred. • Basic computer knowledge and software updating. • Ability to maintain equipment in proper order and ensure work station is clean and orderly. • Ability to function and participate in a team environment. • Able to use all hand tools, soldering irons and all bench test equipment. • Clean driving record for the past 3 to 5 years and ability to pass an MVR check, criminal background check and substance screen. • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
