The How… You will use your three-plus years of experience in property maintenance (either in a residential or hospitality setting) to address work orders before issues escalate into major problems. You’ve done light carpentry, are experienced with minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and aren’t afraid to work on HVAC systems. You are interested in growing your career and have obtained one or more relevant certifications so you can take on more complex repair and maintenance work using your EPA, CPO, HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications or technical degrees that this property needs. You want to positively impact people’s lives by proactively addressing routine maintenance and the general cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse. The Details… You will work full-time, generally Monday through Friday; however, this position is not limited to weekday hours and may require working evenings, Saturdays and Sundays as needed. While we provide equipment and supplies to complete most work orders, you must maintain your own tool kit to complete work orders. You will regularly need to use either a company-owned vehicle or your own to move between properties or pick up supplies off-site. Since you enjoy painting living spaces, you focus on producing a professional-level paint job in every unit. You understand how to use the tools and equipment to complete paints with minimal touch-up work and mess. Two to four hours for touch-ups and eight hours for the entire painting of a unit (depending on unit sizes and color changes) are baselines for what you like to get done in a day. You are hands-on with the day-to-day maintenance activities, setting the tone and standard for how work gets done.
