The Carpenter/Roofer will perform general carpentry tasks including repairs to roof, siding, drywall and structural upgrades. Roles & Responsibilities • Assess site prior to project start to obtain measurements. • Make structural improvements such as framing and sistering rafters. • Investigate, locate and repair roof leaks. • Make various repairs to home from solar installation including siding and drywall. • Provide professional and courteous communication to customers. • Maintain thorough documentation of work including photographs and existing site features. Submit all documentation in a timely manner. • Perform other basic construction related tasks. • Maintain a neat and orderly jobsite. • Follow company vehicle rules and regulations. Qualifications & Experience • Basic knowledge of carpentry and roofing including use of tools. • Flexibility to perform other construction and maintenance tasks as need. • Work safely on roofs for extended periods of time; ascend and descend ladders. • Regularly lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs. • Must have regular, reliable attendance record. • Motor Vehicle Report check and pre-employment drug screening. Roles & Responsibilities • Assist with Solar installs, equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of Residential Solar PV systems. • Ability to install 100 / 200-amp Service Upgrades - Residential • Remove / Install Utility Meters and Residential Electrical panels. • Ability to splice live service connections when needed without supervision. • Improvise and adapt to different electrical situations in the field. • Install and bend EMT conduit using hand benders as needed. • Ensure Electrical systems meet all company standards, job specifications, National Electrical Code requirements. • Correspond professionally with homeowners as needed. • Provide regular updates of job status, complete necessary paperwork, photos. Qualifications & Experience • National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge is required. • State Electrical License required. • Solar experience is preferred. • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug test, and MVR check. • Must be willing to work in attics, crawl spaces and on rooftops on occasion. • Safely ascend and descend from extension ladders from roof tops. • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
