see morePlans the layout, fabrication, and testing of mechanical devices; sets up and operates any type of precision machine tool to make original parts, tools, mechanisms, and devices for experimental purposes. May be required to solve problems relative to work-holding arrangement, unusual materials, machine settings, tools, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production process. Normally performs precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions for research engineers in a developmental laboratory condition. Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs a variety of activities which involve standard procedures. Gathers and manipulates common data, verifies adequacy and appropriateness; develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports. In technical or production positions, may also set up and operate standard electronic or mechanical equipment used to develop, produce and/or test products or process data. Job Details • Location: Chelmsford, MA • Shift: Day shift, Full-Time (M-TH) 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM • Starting Salary: $25.00 - $28.00/hour • Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with possibility for Overtime • PPE Required: Steel Toes What You'll Do • Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings. • Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality. • Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes. • Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy. • Sets up and operates any type of precision machine tool to make original parts, tools, mechanisms. • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment. • Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes. • Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For • Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation. • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations. • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Knowledge of ESD procedures and machine equipment. • Strong work ethic and a reputation for punctuality and reliability, with a desire to grow and learn in their role. • High school diploma or GED required.
