Permian Resources Corporation (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Automation Tech in San Angelo, TX. Reporting to the Automation Foreman, the Automation Tech performs work of high skill in the inspection, calibration, repair, testing, adjusting, installation, and removal of electronic equipment and systems. This position will work closely with the Automation Forman to ensure quality repairs, device installations, and integration of the automation systems and other equipment while maintaining and modifying components to full-service capacity.
General Responsibilities
• Manage Instrumentation Calibrations, Wireless Instrumentation, and Solar Powered System.
• Verify 3rd party work to include materials needed, proposals, and invoices and coordinate start and completion schedules.
• Assist with installations, commissioning, maintenance, testing, and trouble-shooting for system.
• Design, develop, and maintain technical and operations documentation for each facility, as well as other end users using the Automation system.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment at each facility for the Automation system as well as other critical systems.
• Order, manage installation and maintain the inventory of devices used at the facilities.
Qualifications
• Ideal candidates will have at least 1-2 years of oilfield automation experience.
• Understand relationships between database, programs, and GUI systems.
• Operational understanding of VFD & VSD Drives, POC’s, PLC’s, Plunger lift systems, HMI devices. Programming (PLC’s, HMI screens, ScadaPack, Allen Bradley, Communication radios). Familiarity with Communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, 232, 485)
• Must be comfortable with 480 VAC to 24 VDC.
• Wide range of knowledge with most rotating equipment.
• Hydraulic and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and understand P&ID’s and Schematics.
• Problem solving capabilities.
• Candidates must have and maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
