Plan and perform various CNC turning and milling operations to machine a variety of metal parts under the supervision of the Operations Manager. Location: East Windsor, CT Reports to: Production Supervisor Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines • Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, specifications, and blueprints • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers. • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized tools in order to perform precision machining operations • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines • Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in the preparation of machine work • Check part to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency • Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter • Maintain records and documents in-process inspection data as required • Report faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervision • Able to measure using standard shop tools, machine tools, and engineered gaging to close established tolerances • Adhere to standards of safety and housekeeping standards • Operate and measure machine • Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description. • Participate in training as required • 5-10% Domestic Travel required Physical Demands • Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs. • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility Requirements • Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data. • High School Diploma or GED required • Precision Manufacturing certificate preferred • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level • Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills • Ability to read and understand engineering work instructions • Some ability to set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines • Basic knowledge of appropriate speeds and feeds for materials and tools • Working knowledge of Machine codes, G codes AAP Statement Hanwha Aerospace USA, is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Welders will be working with stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum materials, and super alloys with various thicknesses and in all positions. Responsibilities will include the manufacturing of weldments and finished parts to print, operating multiple heat-treating ovens to include setup and loading of parts, and proper analysis of heat-treat reports. Responsible for weld inspections and repairs as needed. Must be able to layout parts, assemble components, fabricate complex assemblies using blueprints and drawings, and understand and abide to NADCAP regulations. Applicant must pass a welding test. Location: Based out of East Windsor Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. Set up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams, and fixtures following welding procedures to weld Visual weld inspection for weld quality and dimensions Clean and prepare all detail materials for Manual Weld processing. Align and secure holding fixtures, attachments, accessories onto machines. Select predetermined settings specific to each machine and specific job. Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, feeler gauges and borescopes. Maintain records and document in-process inspection data as required. Work with a variety of materials, including steel, copper, aluminum, Inconel, and other precious metals. Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to help diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs. Perform essential machine maintenance as required to maintain part quality and quantity standards throughout the departments in the facility. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter. Follow scheduling guidelines for replacement of critical consumables. Operate Microsoft Office applications for records and manifests. Read, understand and produce heat-treat reports in depth utilizing proper industry terminology, standards and software. Run multiple heat-treating ovens and be able to supply proper documentation of completion of parts. Must have understanding of all proper rigging techniques to lift heavy objects. Must have fork-truck experience. Report faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervision. Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.
