We have deep industry knowledge and experience to provide complete solutions. We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electricianfor our West Texas operations in Pecos, Texas. Prefer Local candidates but will consider electricians who will work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. Can count on at least 50-60 hours per week. This is a fast-pacedenvironment. Must be able to contend with the weather conditions in West Texas. Journeyman • Installing electrical circuits and equipment including panels, switches, protective devices, conduit, and related equipment as required • Installing and maintain PLCs, 120V control circuits, 480V power, transformers & motors, electronic controls by following electrical drawings and using test instruments such as an ammeter and voltmeter. Installing, examining, replacing, and/or repairing electrical wiring, conduits, receptacles, switch boxes, feeder, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components • Fabricate, install, and/or run conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting, and panel work • Test and install electrical motors, generators, and pneumatic electrical control systems • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment such as motors, starters, relays, solid state circuitry electro-mechanical components, AC, and DC solid state drives or PLCs • Troubleshoot all electrical systems and make recommendations for upgrades, repairs, maintenance, etc • Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, resistance, voltage and current • May maintain, install, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices • Operate mobile equipment needed in performance of the job in a safe manner and within facility guidelines (forklift, man lift, trencher) • Familiar with Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out process and application • Oversee crew(s) • Actively participate and contribute to training necessary in the performance of this position • Occasionally oversee contractors when needed • Perform such other duties, including those not related to craft, as directed by the Electrical Supervisor • Work effectively with other client and contracted personnel to resolve problems not necessarily related to electrical and automation Employment at GlobaLogix: • GlobaLogix provides a drug free workplace and the company will require you to participate in its drug testing program.
