What You’ll Do In this role, you will help lead and innovate our quality assurance processes, ensuring supplier compliance and excellence in support of our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include: • Manage defined key performance indicators and systems to evaluate and improve supplier quality performance. • Independently conduct in-depth quality system audits on potential and existing suppliers. Evaluate findings, coordinate assessments, and corrective actions, exerting significant influence over supplier selection and compliance. • Lead initiatives to drive supplier adherence to ISO 9001 standards, applying expert knowledge in regulatory requirements and quality assurance processes. • Manage Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process from issuance to resolution, making key decisions on part suitability and supplier corrective actions. • Validate supplier process capabilities during new product launches and component resourcing efforts, ensuring alignment with design requirements and inspection methods through complex decision-making. • Provide essential support to production by ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of parts across all product lines. Serve as a key communication link among supply chain team, suppliers, assembly leads, and management for all issues related to parts and suppliers. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related field, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing quality. • 5+ years’ experience in quality role(s) in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment. • Comprehensive working knowledge of ISO 9001 and a proven track record in implementing quality standards within a manufacturing environment. • Experience in NCR process and documentation. • Experience with calibration standards and quality tools and equipment such as calipers and micrometers. • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Including but not limited to key dimensions, finishes, and machine tolerances. • Strong familiarity with supply chain/material handling and engineering systems, such as JDE and/or AutoCAD/Autodesk. • Experience with CMM strongly preferred. We are Dover Precision Components, Summary Must be able to set up and operate turret or engine lathes, performing all machining operations. Subject to short lead times and close tolerances on a continuous basis, such as air products. Will be able to work to exacting tolerances, determine speeds and feeds, and sharpen own tools. Must be able to visualize finished product, recognize and report corrections in blueprint errors. Must be able to cut internal and external threads. Will be required to work on customer returns, springing, plating, and any other rework that is necessary. Responsibilities • Reads process sheets, blueprints and sketches of part to determine mashing to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements. • Mounts work piece between centers, in chuck or to faceplate. • Observes numerical displays to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speeds of machining cuts. • Inspect run pieces and spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications. • Uses measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and ccm for conformance to specifications. • Machines bronze, stainless, plastics and other materials. • Require set up and tool changes. • Other duties as assigned. We are Dover Precision Components, Summary: Skilled to setup, adjust and operate CNC lathes and/or mills and special types of machine tools. Performs diversified machining operations largely on standard work having tolerance and finish specifications requiring a general knowledge of machining practices and techniques. This position must have the ability to perform the following: Responsibilities: • Works from drawings, sketches and specifications in completing various machining operations. • Ability to edit CNC programs to manufacture parts per blueprint/drawings. • Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts. • Obtains required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure and performs inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices. • Completes and maintains all necessary records of time, part counts, first piece inspections, and requisition forms, etc. for each job. • Makes jigs, fixtures or other specialized non-production devices as qualified and assigned. • Acquires raw material, supplies, tools, etc. when necessary. • Maintains a clean orderly work area, works safely, and conforms to all quality procedures and standards. • Performs first piece inspections on basic product for other machinists, as qualified and assigned. • Grinds tools when necessary. • Performs routine preventative maintenance of machines according to PM schedule. • Trouble shoots drawings, machining, tooling, programming, material, etc. and making competent decisions pertaining to job at hand. • Maintains and monitors machine shop equipment. Safeguards against improper use and incorrect set ups to prevent extensive damage to machine or specific sections. • Detects errors with frequent tolerance/quality checks. • May provide training to others. Minimum required qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading • 5 years+ of trade school apprenticeship or equivalent shop experience as a machinist The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities: • Clear communication, both oral and written • Organization skills; keep area clean to 5S standards • Meets productivity standards by completing work in a timely manner Mental/Visual/Physical Effort: • Walks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently. Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required. Possesses good hand/eye coordination. Physical Hazards: • Normal operations require eye protection, steel toed footwear, and occasionally hand protection. We are Dover Precision Components, What You'd Do: Summary: Sets up and operates manual machines, including but not limited to mills and lathes, to perform machining operations by performing the following duties.
