see moreEssential Job Functions: • Lead, guide and train Insulator Helpers • Understand blueprints, sketches • Measure, shape and cut materials to specified measurements • Insulate, cover, wrap, staple, glue, fit insulating materials • Finish insulation using sealants, tape, cement and metals • Attends training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes required by department • Other duties as assigned Required Minimum Qualifications: • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent • Work Experience: Journeyman level hours and experience (typically 5 years) • License/Certifications: • Current and valid driver’s license • OSHA10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire • H2S Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire • Alaska locations only: North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training, required • Must have own insulation specific tools or personal preferences • Post Job Offer Requirements: • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test • Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: • Advanced knowledge of Insulation process and methods • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the different type of tools involved in insulation • Knowledge of design, principles and technical plans such as blueprints and drawings • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industry practices related to materials and equipment use and operation • Strong organization skills • Ability to use time efficiently in order to complete projects/assignments on time • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment • Ability to handle stress and possess positive attitude even in difficult or challenging situations Physical Demand/Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. see moreEssential Job Functions • Remove paint, dirt, grease or rust on pipes or other parts/materials to prepare for paint applications • Select and prepare appropriate coatings of paints within specifications • Spray paint or hand paint pipes or other parts and machines within specifications • Inspect coating quality, viscosity, and paint flow • Dispose and handle hazardous waste materials safely within standards, and properly clean tools after use. • Operate hand and power tools common to painting equipment Required Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record • Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or be able to obtain upon hire Preferred Qualifications • Painter experience Post Job Offer Requirements • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required • Knowledge of civil construction and characteristics of all equipment functions and operations related to the position • Knowledge of proper use of equipment and hands-on experience using airless paint sprayers • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations and industry practices related to equipment use and operation • Skills in daily maintenance of machines including repairs and inspecting equipment to identify possible problems • Skills in use of Computer/Laptop or other supporting devices commensurate with program and job applications • Ability to use time and equipment efficiently in order to complete projects on time • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment • Ability to handle stress and possess positive traits even in difficult or challenging situations • Ability to attend training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department Physical Demand/Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
