Key Responsibilities • Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobs • Arrange parts for welding and staging processes • Perform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results) • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures • Uphold site efficiency standards • Learn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures • Perform other duties as requested by the Lead • Assist in other work areas as assigned Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Pass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminum • Possess a basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipment • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals • Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions EDUCATION • High School Diploma LOCATION • Onsite SCHEDULE • M-F WORK ENVIRONMENT • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. This position requires a solid understanding of CNC operations, the ability to perform complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met. Under the guidance of our production team, you will contribute to the success of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities • Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance • Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality • Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs • Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards • Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
