Our privately held company has over 100 years of liquid sensing experience, is growing, and currently employs 230 team members in Houston Texas and 115 in Shanghai China. Our global headquarters is conveniently located in Houston at the southwest intersection of I-69 and Sam Houston Tollway, just north of Sugar Land. The Supplier Quality Technician will report directly to the Quality Programs Manager. Summary JOB DESCRIPTION AlpHa Measurement Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of purchased products through thorough inspection processes and collaborating closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues. This role requires a proactive approach to managing supplier-related concerns and maintaining high standards of product quality. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: • First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs): Complete and document FAIRs for purchased and manufactured products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards. • Incoming Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of incoming parts from suppliers to verify compliance with quality requirements. • Supplier Collaboration: Work directly with suppliers as a Supplier Quality Technician to identify, report, and resolve quality issues detected both internally and externally. • Supplier Issue Management: Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues that arise and working toward continuous improvement. • Corrective Actions (SCARs): Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to ensure timely and effective resolution of non-conformances. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, supplier interactions, and corrective actions to support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives. • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement activities to enhance supplier quality and reduce the incidence of defects. Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience Associate degree preferred High school diploma or GED required Experiece with measurement tools and instruments Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for engineering drawings Machanical experience Previous production and/or supplier quality experience Previous experience in Quality management through part inspection process/procedures Ability to identify and troubleshoot measurement discrepancies or issues Proficiency in data entry and report generation Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds Must be able to work in fast-paced environments Occasional overtime to meet business needs Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

We have an immediate need for a Senior CNC Machinist (Programmer) to join our Houston-based team. The Senior CNC Machinist can perform all tasks involved in the production of the company’s machined sub-assemblies and/or machined final products. This includes the programming, tool selection, set-up, operation and troubleshooting of CNC mills and lathes used in the manufacturing of parts out of various grades of metal and plastic. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. The Senior CNC Machinist must also transact jobs in our MRP system (ALERE), logging times and quantities. There is a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus for this position. Senior CNC Machinist reports directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor. Select tooling for jobs. • Implement changes to machine programs and enter new specifications, using computers separate from machines. Transfer programs from computers to CNC machine modules using a computer network, jump drives, or via other media. • Maintain machines within operator-level scope; remove and replace broken or worn machine components using hand tools. Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust to compensate for problems. • Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. • Monitor machine operations and control panel displays, comparing readings to specifications to detect malfunctions. Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction. • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences. Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or GED Preferred • Post-Secondary Certificates, awarded for technical CNC training completed after high school Desired Skills And Experience • Post-Secondary Certificates, awarded for technical CNC training completed after high school • Previous production machining experience: • Equipment Selection – determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job • Operation and Control – controlling operations of equipment or systems Operation Monitoring – watching gauges, dials, and screens to ensure a machine is working properly • Quality Control Analysis – conducting tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality and/or machine performance • Programming – writing or modifying computer programs to create or optimize CNC machine programs in Mazatrol and/or G-code (at least one; both preferred)* • Demonstrated ability to train others • Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, some writing, and oral communication • MRP system proficiency at user level (e.g. how to clock jobs) • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment • Occasional overtime to meet business needs • Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds • Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job • MUST HAVE PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE
